After redesigning their website in 2014, I proposed an update of the logo to the leadership of SANBlaze. Their long-standing logo had several issues that made using it a challenge. Through a detailed back-and-forth process, I worked with the company to identify the essential factors of the identity to retain, and what to change to help strengthen their position as a leader in the tech industry. I redrew the primary Z mark for better legibility at small sizes and for digital use, and changed the type to a neutral, digital-native typeface.
